Please note

  • Due to strict deadlines with our vendors, we must have all RSVPs in by April 1We understand that a trip to Puerto Rico may not be feasible for all of our guests. While we appreciate everyone's consideration to make such a big trip for us, if you know you won't be able to attend or if your plans change, please let us know as early as possible!

  • We have a very limited guest list, so please note that the names on the cards you've received are the people we've reserved seats for.

  • Kindly note that our wedding day will be an adults-only event. Kids are welcome to join us at other gatherings that weekend, but please make other arrangements for them the day of the wedding.

  • While gifts are appreciated, they are NOT expected.  Having our friends and family make the trip for our wedding is all we could ask for! For those that would still like to give something, any donations towards our honeymoon fund are very appreciated.

travel

  •  New TSA guidelines require all U.S. citizens to have a REAL ID or passport to fly to Puerto Rico in June.

    • If you don't have a REAL ID by May 7, 2025, every traveler 18 and older will need a passport for all flights within the United States. A standard driver's license will not work!

  • Guests should plan to fly into the Luis Muñoz Marin International (SJU) Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico no later than  Thursday, June 5, 2025.

  • Our hotel room block at the Condado Palm Inn offers discounted rated for our wedding guests who book by April 1. Be sure to use the link from our website to get the discount!

  • If you are looking for your own place, we highly recommend staying within the city of San Juan for the most convenience during your trip. The neighborhoods of  Condado  and  Old San Juan (Viejo San Juan) will be closest to other guests and all of our activities for the weekend. These areas are tourist friendly, convenient, safe, and right along the beach.

  • There are dozens of  hotels and Airbnb  options between Condado and Old San Juan with a wide range of price options.

  •  Ubers  are relatively cheap in San Juan. Renting a car is not necessary unless you plan to visit other areas of the island. Most of San Juan is very walkable as well. *Please be aware that Lyft is not available in Puerto Rico!

wedding day

  • Arrive at the venue by 4:45pm to grab a drink and a good seat. Our ceremony will begin at 5pm sharp and will be quite short. If you're late, you will miss it. Please be on time. PLEASE BE ON TIME.

    • Guests should plan to Uber to our wedding venue as transportation will not be provided. Plan accordingly!

  • It’s going to be humid and HOT. Probably hotter than you’ve ever experienced. Please take your hydration seriously and make sure to drink lots of water throughout the day.

  • Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors. Keep this in mind when deciding what to wear. Our reception and dinner will be indoors and air conditioned.

  • ATTIRE: TROPICAL SEMI-FORMAL

    • Opt for light, flowy, breathable fabrics to stay comfortable in the heat. While we are on an island, note that this is not a beach wedding, so please dress to impress! Bold and bright colors or patterns are encouraged, though not required. This is our MET Gala. Wear the outfit you’ve been looking for an excuse to wear, and please avoid wearing white. 🤍

  • Any guests with limited mobility, please be aware that there are no elevators at our wedding venue. Our ceremony will be on the ground floor and our reception will be on the second floor, up one flight of stairs.

Other things to know

  • While Spanish is the primary language on the island, many Puerto Ricans speak English as well. You will be just fine if you don’t speak Spanish.

  • Many restaurants get very busy by 7pm! Trust us, make dinner reservations ahead of time!

  • Lastly, on a different note: because all of our usual pet-sitters will be attending our wedding, we have not yet found someone to watch Kygo while we are in Puerto Rico. We are looking for a dog-sitter to watch our sweet, well-behaved son for 1 week in their home (or ours) with generous pay. We're turning to our guests for help: if you know of anyone who might be open to this, located in Ohio or New York, please let us know!
